Astronomy Pictures of the Fortnight, LVIII

This weekend there’s a good chance to see elusive Mercury.  Just after sunset it’ll be in triple conjunction with Jupiter & Venus. Monday the 27th it’ll be the top of the triangle.

Next fall we just might have a “comet of the century” visible even during the day.

Other interesting bits include a Flux Nebula, Red Sprite, Hoag’s Object and Arp 147.
