Astronomy Pictures of the Fortnight XLVIII

Mark your calendars for the super moon on May 5, 2012.  The full moon will be at perigee, roughly 14% larger, and if you look for it at 8:30 EST close to the horizon it’ll be further super-sized by a poorly understood optical illusion.
