When you lose Jay Leno and David Brooks in the same day… maybe you’re approaching a tipping point. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at Brooks’ “I’m an Obama Sap” column. At least he manned up and came clean in a more straight-forward way than Peggy Noonan.
Leno though – no doubt you have to laugh:
After saying the jobs bill is paid for, President Obama now says that it will be paid for by raising taxes over 10 years. I can’t figure out if he’s the kind of guy who makes infomercials, or the kind of guy who falls for infomercials.
When a mainstream show that typically has to worry at least a little bit about political backlash – socially, at their cocktail parties, if nothing else – feels free to turn on you, take it as a sign that you might be “losing the room.”
